     One of the biggest drawbacks to the U.S. legal system is that 
you need a specialized degree to understand it. Any opportunity to 
alleviate the legal process should be taken -- especially one as 
simple and inexpensive as providing Internet access to the archives.

     I can think of only one reason why this access would be denied: 
Somebody is getting paid off!
