Subject: I want free access to public documents! Date: Sat, 15 Mar 1997 10:00:45 -0600 From: Scott Surbrook To: citation@teo.uscourts.gov Dear Sirs: As a tax paying citizen, and since the documents my taxes pay for are in the public domain, I think I deserve the right to have these documents be made available to me WITHOUT having to pay outrageously for them. The current "West's monopoly" is outrageous! They charge people an "arm and a leg" to get "access to the case records. "I" am paying for them to be created and I have to pay for them again when I need them. This is offensive. "We, the people" are not stupid. We do not appreciate this and need it rectified. Please support free, public access via electronic means!
